What Causes Soreness In The Neck Under The Collar Bone?

Ive been recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I have been getting pain under my jaw, neck and collar bone mainly on the left side. Ive been on my meds for 2 weeks now but the pain haven t gone away. My doctor has referred me to a neck specialist but my appointment is 2 months from now. Im just wonder why the left side under my collar bone is so sore all the time. Is it to do with my hypothyroidism as well? Or could it be something else.

Hello, Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. You are on medicines for 2 weeks now but the pain have not gone away. Your doctor has referred you to a neck specialist but your appointment is 2 months from now.You has pain on the left side under my collar bone.THIS PAIN CAN BE DUE TO CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS. You need to do your x-ray cervical spine AP and Lateral view to see this. However in hypothyroidism pain increases every where so it can be due to this and reduce after few months of treatment of hypothyroidism.I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.Take care
