What Causes Soreness In The Upper Lip In A 6 Year Old?
My 6 year old son was complaining last night at the dinner table that his upper lip was sore. Couldn t see anything so ignored it. He woke in the high with a mild fever all sweaty complaining his head hurst, gave him calpol. This morning his lip is swollen and where his upper lip touches his lower lip it is full of puss around the size of his thumbnail. Not sure wether to see the doctor?

Hi...it looks like a pyoderma and with fever, looks probably like a bacterial. It is located in the dangerous area of the face and I would advice you to go to your pediatrician as the kid might require a course of antibiotics.
