Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Soreness On Penis After Unprotected Vaginal Sex?
About 5-6 days ago I had unprotected vaginal/oral sex with my ex. about the same day or within 24 hours of sex, my penis started feeling a little weird.. kind of raw. I had a lot of anxiety directly after the sex and so I went to the hospital to get P.E.P prescribed in case of HIV. They also gave me a shot of something and a few other pills. ever since then my penis has been feeling raw and has slight redness underneath the head as well as what looks like tiny cuts along the side of the penis head. Today on day 5-6 the top of my penis head is starting to look and feel bruised/sore. I tried to masturbate and did notice a bit of white skin flakes coming off of the foreskin which seems unusual. I had a hard time getting an erection while doing so because of this slight discomfort (and probably a mix of anxiety) I am not sure what this could possibly be and any help is VERY appreciated.
The bruises and cuts you noticed have most probably occured during the process of vaginal and oral sexual contact and is usual with rough or aggressive sexual contact.
I would not call this unusual as many individuals experience it, but it is important to note that open wounds on your genitalia opens your partner up to infections you have and also makes you vulnerable to infections she may have. Please go about an elaborate STD-panel and ask your ex- to do the same.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
