What Causes Soreness Under The Arm And Back While Suffering From Shingles?
I m at the end of the 2nd week of Shingles. Had two red & stabbed areas the size of a quarter on right breast. The area under my arm is very sore when I move my arm. Had sore under my arm toward my back. Is the soreness under my arm normal for Shingles???
Based on the history you seem to be suffering from post-herpetic neuralgia. Post-herpetic neuralgia is the most common complication of shingles causing burning pain that typically occurs in the area of your skin where the shingles outbreak first occurred.
You are advised to consult your doctor for further evaluation and treatment using gabapentine or pregablin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
