What Causes Sound In Knees After Meniscus Surgery?

I m on post-op day two from having my knee scoped and minor meniscal surgery done. I am hearing a squishy sound in my knee when I place my fingers on it. I believe it is just the fluid build up in my knee from the surgery itself. Just want to confirm.

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As there is sound in the knee means there is less joint space and the bone is grinding over each over. I will advise doing static quadriceps and static hamstring exercises to improve the joint space and gain some muscle strength. Also, straight leg raise will be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
