What Causes Spasm In Leg/thigh When Sitting For Long Time?


I am 34. My legs go into spasm when i sit on the toilet sit for a bit prolonged time with elbows put on the legs/thighs. Sometimes it gets very difficult to stand even. and when i forcefully stand and try loosening it up, it may go off in couple of minutes as i start walking. Thx much for your advice.

Dear patient
Common reason for spasms is low calcium in blood ie hypocalcemia. Other reason is anxiety and muscle irritability due to electrolyte imbalance. This need to be investigated with serum calcium and serum electrolytes. You need to consult physician with report.
