What Causes Spasms In Thyroid?

What does it mean spasms in my thyroid. I have hypothyroidism and I m on on levothyroxine . I went to a pa the other day and told her that sometimes I have these spasms where I feel short of breath or like I m going to pass out. It only last a sec or two.

In hypothyroidism muscle spasm is common.
Thyroid gland distubance cause slow down a metabolism of a body.

Muscle spasm means contracted muscle not easily relax.This also called muscle cramps.

Nerve irritation cause a affected muscle spasm .
Treatment of hypothyroidism decrease a muscle spasm problem.

Hashimotor disease which is autoimmune disease cause muscle spasm and stifness of muscle.

Following are the other cause for muscle spasm like.....
Low calcium or magnesium level,
generalize muscle fatigues.
Overworking,
sciatica......
