What Causes Spotting After Menstruation While On Birth Control?

Yes I am a little concerned because I have already had my period for this month and i have been in the same birth control for over a year now but today I had noticed when I whipped myself after peeing there was blood on toilet paper and just tonight it happen again but this time it looked like mucus and blood. I was wonder if this is something I should go to the doctor for?

Hi. Thanks for posting on hcm.
I say you not to worry as spotting in between is common when on pills. It is not necessary that you should not have spotting now as you haven't had any till date from the day you started pills. Some factors like stress or any other medication when on pills may cause such side effects. As of now nothing to worry until it is just spotting and not posing any health problem to you.
