What Causes Spotting During Workouts And Bleeding After Sex?

I have always had regular periods. I am 41 years old. Last january 2013, I began a very rigorous workout schedule. I lost 12 lbs last year...but, was only 140 lbs when I began. This January, I had a period on Jan. 1, Jan. 15, and Jan. 28...I also have thyroid issues. I spotted twice last week after my workouts. Last night my husband and I had sex and today, I am bleeding like I'm having a period. Is this normal? and, do you think I am beginning perimenopause? I have called my doctor and they told me to wait at least another month before I come in for ultrasound and blood work. I recently had blood work at my reg doctor and everything was good. My pap smear was normal...no concerns on Jan. 13. I'm just a bit scared.

Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
If Your papsmear is normal then probably there is no cervical abnormality.
You may require an ultrasound and detailed pelvic examination.
if your reports are normal then there is no need to worry.
