What Causes Stabbing Stomach Pain Post Intercourse?

Yesterday I Had Sex and Was Perfectly fine this morning I woke up to My lower right stomach hurting soo bad its like a stabbing aching pain but it doesn t hurt as much when I lay on my right side and I m gassy .What s Wrong With Me? This pain has been hurting all day .

HI,

Noted your history, short and specific. Woke up in the morning with stabbing aching pain, had a sex yesterday does not pain much if you lay on right side, are gassy, wants to know what is wrong with as it is hurting throughout the day.

With the history you have provided, it is sure that there is history of sex before one day, the most probable diagnosis is either pelvic inflammatory disease that is PID or salpingitis that is infection in the Fallopian tube.

I would advise you the following:

- Consult a Gynecologist for examination.

- Tests of blood and urine.

- Ultrasound will help in proper diagnosis.

- Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication.

- Drink plenty of fluids.
