Hello,

The appearance of the symptoms a while after sexual contact does indeed indicate the possibility of this being a sexually transmitted infection. I cannot be sure of the diagnosis, but acute retroviral syndrome (ARS) not ruled out until laboratory investigations rule it out.

Please schedule an appointment with your doctor at the earliest for urgent diagnosis and initiation of treatment. In the meantime, make sure you avoid sexual contact in all forms possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shoaib Khan
