What Causes Stiffness In The Fingers And Toes?

I am a mechanic and my fingers started to stiffen up this morning when I started working today. especially when I was using my finger in small places. now this afternoon my toes stared stiffening. this has happened before and most of the time as I get tired I just start to loose strength in my hand hands and wrists. ive also been experiencing a lot of cramping in my legs lately.

Hi,

If the problem is very short duration, go for sugar level and blood pressure level checking besides serum uric acid. If problem is since last few weeks, then undergo X-ray hands and lab tests as TLC, DLC, ESR, serum uric acid, Ra factor, ANA, etc. to rule out rheumatoid arthritis.
