What Causes Stiffness In The Neck Along With Headaches And Blurred Vision?
3 days ago I woke up all stiff on my left side of my neck. I have a headache and my vision has been blurry as the day goes on. I have been icing it and massaging and stretching . My neck feels better but I still have this sore lump behind my left ear the side of an egg. What is going on? Can this be just stress related?
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Stiffness in the neck may be due to meningitis or neck muscle spasm or it may be due to radiculopathy. swelling behind the ear may be due to lymphadenopathy or Infection or mastoiditis etc . Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use pain killer medication, use neck support.Get it done x-ray of neck AP view. Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
