What Causes Stinging Sensation During Urination While External Urethral Orifice Is Red?

My external urethral orifice has been red for the last few days and the redness accompanied a new slightly stinging sensation during urination. There also seems to be a small amount of clear viscous secretion with what appears to be black filaments in it.

Hello,

It seems to be balanitis like inflammation of glans penis.

Kindly attach the photo of the lesion so that I can check it.

You can apply topical antibiotic cream over that.

It's advisable to take the anti-inflammatory drug course also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
