What Causes Stomach Ache And Diarrhea After Taking Baking Soda?
I took one tablespoon of baking soda in 8ozs of water for the first time ever as a way to quit smoking. Twice a day for 1 week then once a day for 1 more week. I found an article online. Within 30 minutes I feel sick to my stomache, excessive diarreah and a little lightheaded. Now what do I do?

Dear baking soda may cause abdominal distension due to release of gas of CO2 after consumption.
It may lead to alkalosis and induce diarrhea in few individuals ,and also causes more sodium in it may cause elevation of blood pressure.
But it is useful in people with acid reflux,gout and kidney disease with acidosis
So please avoid taking it check for your not deveoped bacillary infection.
use tab.sporulac thrice a day if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
