Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
It is rare to have
cholecystectomy in a child of 9 years, well must have been done for the stones or so. He used to be constipated as a baby and not have pain in abdomen like like when he had
gall stones and diarrhea.
Lactose intolerance and lot many other problems can be diagnosed by detailed stool examination and eliminating diet products one by one is definitely one good way to know if there is any intolerance.
Get the following investigations done:
As said earlier, stool tests for three consecutive day.
Tests of blood for CBC, liver functions.
Ultrasonography of abdomen.
Clinical evaluation by a Gastroenterologist and correlation with the reports of investigations.
All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and best management. This can be in the form of an antibiotic if infection is seen in any reports,
metronidazole, probiotics.
Stop all the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance his problems.
Use boiled for 20 minutes water and give only homemade fresh foods.
No oily or spicy foods.
