What Causes Stomach Ache And Nose Bleeding?

My 7 year old son was complaining about a stomach ache and then while watching tv his nose started bleeding. He said he doesn t feel good but he isn t running fever. The nose bleed came out of the blue and was hard to stop. Is there any connection between the two and should I be concerned?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Your child could have developed a bleeding diathesis which happens when there is problem in clotting of the blood. This could have led to aggravation and possibly bleeding of a gastric ulcer as well as bleeding from the nose. So, these could be related. Rather than trying to find the cause and correlation, just rush the child to emergency and get the situation managed.
