What Causes Stomach Burning Pain Under The Ribcage?

For a while now, I have had burning pain in my stomach mostly in the morning, and always before meals. It has the same kind of appearance as hunger pains, but are much more frequent and painful. The pain is much like a burning sensation, followed generally by noise (a lot of the issue) which relieves the pain for about a minute. That cycle then repeats. I have been to a doctor and received an upper endoscopy, which revealed only minor gastritis and nothing of an ulcer. Antacids have seemed to help a little bit but not nearly to the extent that they should be. Are there any other possible reasons behind my pain? Or are there any solutions to lessen the pain and noise? Also, the pain is located right under my ribcage.

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your health issues submitted in your query.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
Your current health issues seem to be related to -Chronic Gastritis with Entero-Colitis.
You are now treating only with antacids.
But You also need to treat the Entero-Colitis and its causal bacterial / or protozoal infection- which is the commonest cause of Gastritis.
The gurgling noises are from the hyperactive stomach and intestines from the accompanied infection.

Other causes-as amebiasis/giardiasis, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis / Diverticulitis, fissure in Ano with Constipation, need to be ruled out,by verification with Physician/and or Surgeon.
Do's-
Bland Diet,Plenty of fluids,
Tab-Normaxin-1 x 2 time a day x 2 weeks
Tab-Ciplox OZ-1 x 2 time a day x 10 days
Tab Vit B12 and folic acid- 1 per day x 10 days
Banana Milk Shake,
Skimmed watery sore Butter Milk x 2-3 times a day x 2 weeks.
This would resolve the complaints of your's.

Constant followup with local family or specialist Physician-for long term would give you long remissions in time to come, which would depend on meticulous followup treatment of your health concerns.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors, till you verify with your attending doctors.
For early recovery-please follow above do's which would resolve your complex health issues.

Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.
