Hello,

This seems more likely to be inflammatory bowel condition as the duration is long of 5 years. It needs detailed evaluation with gastroenterologist for further management.

Primary helping tips are:
- Have adequate hydration with enough liquids
- Take PPI
- Anti-spasmodic as Dicyclomine or else
- Pro-biotics with prescription of your doctor
- Avoid excess oil
- Avoid Fat containing items in diet

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
