What Causes Stomach Pain After Taking Fish?

Whenever I take fish (especially Rohu, Katla, Trout and not incase of Prawns, singara) and after 4-5 hours., the stomach starts paining and after passing on the stool (3-4 sittings) the pain stops.
Is there any remedy for this or what action need to be taken under this circumstances.

Hi, thanks for using Healthcare Magic.
I understand your concern.

If the complaint only appears when eating fish, it could be caused by food allergies, in your case the allergen is fish. Food allergy symptoms include itching, abdominal pain, dizziness, or diarrhea. Pain in the stomach can also be caused by:
1. Gallstones
2. Inflammation of the gall bladder or pancreas
3. Infection of the small intestine (duodenitis)

Avoid foods that can trigger allergies in the body. Reduce fatty or spicy foods. Limit caffeine / alcohol, do not smoke, and avoid stress. To find out more conditions, you should check with your doctor. So it can be done physical examination and other necessary supporting tests such as blood tests, allergy tests, or ultrasound. Proper handling will be provided according to the underlying cause.

Hope this helps, take care.
