What Causes Stomach Pain And Bowel Movements At Night?

Hello, I have a problem... All day I feel fine but I wake up in the middle of the night everynight with my stomach turning and feeling the urge to poop. I then go to the bathroom and poop but my stomach hurts all night and I get up every couple hours at night. Then the next day I am fine. It happens every night thr past couple weeks and I dont know what is causing it or if something is wrong with me. Please help me I am a mother of 2 boys and need my sleep!!! Thank you!!

Hi thanks for asking question.

Here according to your history you have severe stomach upset . The possibility of gastric ulcer can be present.

Have you taken any treatment??

For ulcer relief you can take pentoprazole for 2 week minimum.

Second it could be because of gastritis by viral flu or bacterial cause.CBC also helpful .
Antibiotic like oflixacin and ornidazole can be taken.

The diverticulitis also can lead such symptoms.

If severe pain with vomiting and suscpician of pancreatitis then USG and serum amylase or lipase has to be estimated.

If you still not improving then USG abdomen or endoscopy may needed.
