What Causes Stomach Pain And Headache For A 3 Years Old?

my 3 year old is crying and saying that his stomach hurts and that he has a headache and his eyes hurt and his legs hurt too, he does have a fever and i did some cold compresses, it seemed to go down but i think it is coming back, what is this and what should i do?

Hi,

The history you have given is suggestive of a viral illness. In any viral illness there can be generalized body pain during or following fever.

You can give paracetamol which works well for both fever and body pains and an anti-ulcer medication such as lansoprazole, may help in abdominal pain. Also give plenty of oral fluids to keep him well hydrated.

If fever persisting for more than 5 days or any rash or being lethargic, then I would advise you to visit paediatrician immediately.
