What Causes Stomach Pain/bloating With Foul Smelling Burp And Gas?
I'm a 20 year old female and overall very healthy, but since yesterday I've been having foul smelling burps and gas and this morning I woke up with a bloated stomach and stomach pain. I can feel gas movement in my bowls and at time I feel rather nauseaous.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Bloating with foul smelling burps and gases indicates one of the following in a young girl of 20. Intestinal infection with gas producing bacterial overgrowth. Rare possibility of intestinal obstruction. This can be diagnosed by the following: X-ray of abdomen in standing position. Tests of stool and blood. Clinical examination by a Doctor to get a probable diagnosis and give you prescription based antibiotic, metronidazole, probiotics, PPI like Omeprazole and Domperidone. Plenty of oral fluids. Boiled and cooled water. Avoid the foods and beverages that increase the problems. Take care, consult a Doctor.
