What Causes Stomach Pain With Vomiting And Cough?

My grandson has been complaining of a stomache ache. He has been throwing up mucus and has excessive silva. He doesn't want to open his mouth or talk. He is 4 yrs old. He was sick 2 weeks ago with a very back cold, coughing, runny nose and fever. He has not had a fever all last week and the cough is all but gone, but when he does cough it sounds like its in his chest. Is this all related?

Hi,

That could be due to chest congestion and drug induced gastritis.

Start him on a mucolytic cough expectorant and an antacid with antiemetic combination. You will need to see your local doctor for the prescription.

I don't think that giving steam inhalation will be feasible for him, but if he can do that, under strict adult supervision, that will be the best .
