What Causes Stomach Pain With Vomiting?

My 6 yr old has been vomiting every evening for more than week now. Wakes up, eats breakfast, seems to be getting better, then gets severe stomach pain in the afternoon and refuses to eat. When he eats ANYTHING he throws it up... even 1 bite of banana or rice.
