What Causes Stomach Upset And Bloating After Taking Endura Mass?

hi, i am 25yrs old female. My height is 5'4" and weight is 39kg. I am too skinny since my childhood. I used to have normal cycles and i don't have any allergy from diary products too. I started taking endura mass chocolate since last two weeks. I have taken it two times. First, i took it in the morning apx.8gm with warm milk 1cup and had 2banana after that. I got my stomach upset in the night and had lots of watery motion and bloated belly and some times unpleasant taste too but next i was not feeling as weak as normally one feels after stomach upset. I discontinued it for 5days and i took it yesterday in the morning in same way. this time, i felt sleepy like anything. I slept almost full day and evening i was feeling stomach upset and i had same watery motion since then. Now, i am sure its because of the Endura mass drink as my food habit is normal. I just had normal home food with no spice almost. Please, sugget me what should i do? I should go for enzymes with my protein shake? and one morething these days my stomach is not normal. I feel bloated most of the times.

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to the side effects/ Gastrointestinal allergy to the constituents of Endura Mass.
So, it will be better to discontinue it with immediate effect.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained with:
1. Tablet Pantoprazole + Domperidone twice daily (to be taken half an hour before food)
2. Anti spasmodics like Dicyclomine preparation twice daily (to be taken after food).
3. Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) for maintaining the hydration status of the body.
4. Take soft, plain, non-spicy foods.

It is not advisable to take any medication/supplements for weight gain, because:
1. They interfere with the normal metabolic rate of the body & causes a number of side effects
2. The individual tends to lose more weight after stoppage of the supplements.

Before choosing any such medication or health supplement, it is advisable to consult your family physician once.

Moreover, you should not compromise on routine healthy food such as:
1. Consume more of natural diet like fresh fruits, green vegetables, milk, eggs, wheat, etc.
2. Avoid oily and junk food.
3. Stay away from smoking & alcohol.

Despite these measures, if you experience difficulty, it will be better to rule other causes of underweight.
Investigations like complete blood count, thyroid profile, estimation of blood sugar level will be helpful to rule out any chronic infection, hormonal and metabolic causes.

Wishing you a healthy life.
Take care.
