What Causes Strong Shivers Like Cold In Children?

Hello My daghter is 8 years old and lately she started making some strange movements with her head or shivering like she is cold. When I asked her if she had cold she said that she doesnt have it and that she can not controll the shivering. I contacted our doctor and she things that this is quite common for kids of her age and that it will go away eventually. Nevertheless I have the feeling that it is getting worse. What can that be?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, the main point to understand here is that your child is saying that she is not able to control the shivering. I think there is a high possibility that these are seizures. I suggest you to do EEG and MRI brain of child to rule out seizures. I wish your child to be healthy soon. Take care.
