I recently had an episode that after resting my arm for an extended period on the armrest of my car (we were driving cross-country), my elbow suddenly swelled up. The swelling was reduced with ice and an anti-inflamatory, but now...several days later...the inside of my arm/elbow is bruised extending for about 8 inches...
