General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

While a fever is sometimes body’s normal response to surgery, it can also be a sign of an underlying problem. Any signs of an infection around the surgical site or any areas that received intravenous medication should be noted. Common signs of infection include swelling, redness increasing pain or tenderness, drainage of a cloudy fluid, warmth, pus and bleeding. Infection at other sites can also cause fever with chills such as urinary tract infection, pneumonia. Kindly rule out any urinary symptoms, cough or unexplained leg pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
