What Causes Sudden Itching And Swelling In Labia Minora With Yellowish Discharge?
Hi. I just had bad itching all of a sudden and then my labia minora swelled up. Over the last several days, there has been some minor discharge that is thick and has a yellowish/white color to it. There is a minor odor at times, but nothing too bad. I m worried about the swelling . Both of the labia minoras are swelled past them majoras now.
Your complaints of yellow discharge, bad smell and itching may be due to protozoal or bacterial infection called trichomoniasis or bacterial vaginosis. Mostly spread through sexual intercourse.
I would advice you to: - Maintain good hygiene and avoid feminine products - Use soft cotton undergarments - Take Antibiotics for a week or candid V1 for 6 days vaginal tablet - Check you blood glucose levels - Oral contraceptives if any used, should be temporarily stopped - Urine routine, culture and vaginal swab if needed
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
