What Causes Sudden Knee Joint Pain In 3 Years Old?

my 3 year old suddenly started complaining abt pain in both pains (knees joint ?). He has been recovering from cold/cough .. started with fever low grade , then cough . fever was gone after 5 days, some coughing is still there after 10 days... now today night , cried badly for leg pains at night ... what could it be ? thanks 1
