What Causes Sudden Pain And Stiffness In The Arm And Neck?

Recently I have been treated for a tear in scar tissue just taking some pain meds and lidocaine patches. I felt the pain was getting better then last night while sitting at my table Laying cards my upper right arm began hurting when I move it and some soreness and stiffness in my u Per back to neck. I couldn t figure out why. I was having pain because I had not hit or twisted it then today my husband noticed a big red place on my right upper shoulder blade so I dont know if I was bit by something and that is causing the Ain in my arm. I am diabetic and I take warfarin be a use of blood clots in my lungs in 2014

Hi,

Due to improper posture you had probably got a spasm of your neck muscles and probably it was more on the right side. You had done the right thing by doing neck exercises. However, in such cases taking paracetamol and hot compress can also be relieving.

The ear infection is probably unrelated. Rather than an ear infection, it seems to me that you could be having sore throat. There is a tube that connects between the middle ear cavity and the throat and it is likely that the problem has thereby involved your ear(s). Gurgling with lukewarm water should provide relief.
