What Causes Sudden Pain In The Left Arm?

52 year old female with sudden pain in left arm and hand. came out of nowhere, first realized this while picking up a cup; had no control didn t scare me just pissed me off. what is your professional input plz respond now. with all due respect, thank u for your time.

This sounds like some sort of nerve irritation. Any of us can have such a pain for unknown reasons. If the problem persists then there may be something in the arm or shoulder that is impinging upon a nerve. You would need an exam and testing to figure out the exact cause. If it does not happen again then I would not worry about it.
