What Causes Sudden Severe Cramps In Toes?

yes, it all started when I was in the military and became very active in exercise and fitness. I would get excruciating toe cramps for no reason at all. This started when I got into swimming and ever since then and mostly at night or during winter months my toe/toes would cramp/twist up. I do eat right, take vitamins, I have low blood pressure and low sugar. What am I missing??? Its frustrating. And I am 53 and done with menopause (thank God!).

spasm can be due to following causes.
1.Low salt in body- You may be having low salt in body.If you are taking BP medicines then chances are very high. So start taking salt in juices and lemonade whenever you develop spasm.
2.Low Calcium in body- I would suggest you to take calcium and Vitamin D regularly.
3.Cold temperature should be avoided and take hot water bath.
4.Check for serum B 12 estimation. Also start taking Vitamin B 12 daily.
I hope these steps will help you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
Thanks
