What Causes Sudden Stiffness In The Fingers?

Somtimes I get sudden stiffness in my fingers - sometimes it s all five, sometimes just a couple. Can t fold them. I have to hold them and it lasts a few moments. Used to happen maybe once or twice a year, now it s happening every so often...even when I m turning the wheel of my car. What would cause this?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Increase in stiffness of fingers seems to be due to increase in tone of finger muscles.
I suggest you to consult a rheumatologist.

Thanks and take care
