Hello I have been taking edronax as Reboxetin for 5 days now .. Only half the prescribed dose 4mg.. And i am feeling awful .. Sweaty shaky and then chills, irritable (perhaps becos I feel awful) I am afraid to take the evening dose of another 4mg as the medication appears to be causing insomnia also.. This medication was prescribed for Major Depression and all the other meds have caused sleepiness.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

Reboxetine is norepinephrine re-uptake inhibitor and this is a good anti-depressant drug. When the drug is started then for first few days increase in symptoms of anxiety, restlessness, irritability, shakiness etc symptoms are seen. Usually such side effects decrease in about a week. If you have access to your psychiatrist then consult him and you can take any low dose benzodiazepine like etizolam, clonazepam to reduce such symptoms. The drug will not cause much sleepiness and will be better for you.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
