What Causes Swelling And Hardness In Lower Left Intestine After Eating?

I am experiencing some pain and swelling in the lower left side of my intestinal area. The swelling area increases in size and gets hard right after eating, then slowly goes back to some pain and hardness goes away. Lower left side going back towards the back area is a little sore also. An ultra sound and blood tests were done. Everything came back good. I have had some back and shoulder problems on the left side in the past. Nothing real serious. Why the swelling, hardness after eating and mild pain is not going away?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to bloating. I suggest to use Simethicone medication three tablets a day.

I also recommend to drink liquids and avoid food that can trigger the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
