What Causes Swelling From Bicep To Shoulder After Having Pneumonia Shot?

I ve had the pnumonia shot and my arm swelled from my bicep through my shoulder down my side. Is this a normal reaction ? I also had a pnumonia shot last year this time and just now read one shot is good for several years. Is the swelling the result of having two shots so close together? Thanks for the help.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got your arm swollen after pneumonia shot. It is not normal .It may be allergic reaction or cellulitis. Icing may be soothing.You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief . If you are also having fever than antibiotic may be added.Swelling is not due to you got two shots so close together. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
