hi, my name is Melanie. I have had a fight on the back of my calf for the past 4 days and it s been getting tremendously worse. my leg has swollen twice its size. I am in alot of pain around the area and it shoots up my leg. It is red. And has a hole inside of it now with price showing through. I have been to the doctor twice and all they gave me was pain medication. I have missed work because of this and I really need a solution. & I was wondering maybe what it is. Please help me.

There are numerous causes and conditions that produce swelling in the legs. A few important causes are chronic venous insufficiency, Heart related issues, kidneydisorders, liver problems, water retention etc.
A thorough and detailed evaluation along with a few investigations are needed to establish the correct diagnosis.
