What Causes Swelling In Neck In Spite Of Taking Medication For Low Thyroid?

I was told that I have a very low thyroid and have been just starting to take synthroid. It has only been 4 days and I have already felt less tired and not so thick tongued when I talk. But I have a swollen neck gland that goes from under my left ear and around under my chin and to the right side. It is always worse in the morning and goes down about half it s size during the day, only to appear the next morning. Is that the place the thyroid gland would swell up to? It seems to bother me when I sleep. I am also going into see about a cpap for my sleep apnea. Are they related?

In my opinion you need a scan of thyroid as well as FNAC of thyroid from the swollen area also to reach to a conclusive diagnosis.
