What Causes Swelling In The Left Temple Of A 2 Month Old?

my son in 2.5 months old. His left temple seems to have a firm swelling on and around it. It has slowly inncreased in size and now that eye seems to be bulging slightly. We went to the Dr about a month ago for her to look at it and said not to worry about it. he had his 2 month check up recently and everything looked fine, developing ahead of schedule even. We did not discuss the lump/ swelling it was not as prevalent. It seems to be more noticeable at certain times and less noticeable at others. we are going to the dr in 2 days but any ideas would be appreciated, as i am freaking out!

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi....If there are no symptoms of raised intracranial tension like incessant vomiting or loss of consciousness or seizures you need not worry about it. By what you quote I feel that it could be a dermoid or a dermoid cyst. I suggest you consult a pediatric surgeon regarding this.
