Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

You may need PET scan for diagnosing lesion.
Muscle pains and spasms can be improved with physiotherapy involving stretching and strengthening exercises.

If the pains/spasms are very severe enough to limit the activities of daily living, then muscle relaxants like Baclofen or Tizanidine may be of help.

If the pain is of neuropathic origin (sharp and stabbing pain), either Pregabalin or Gabapentin or Amitriptyline usage will resolve the symptoms.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
