What Causes Swelling On The Hand After An Injury?

I had an injury ti my hand last sunday. X-ray showed no fracture, just severly brusied. I still have some swelling and pain in hand. I have used the RICE method and does not seem to help the pain and does help a little with the swelling. I do have a large bump on where the injury occured. Should I get this looked at agian

Hello,

It may be due to fracture.

For further assessment you may require X Ray hand after orthopedician consultation.

You may require surgical intervention after surgeon consultation.

Till then you can take tablet acetaminophen for pain.

Restrict hand movements.

Use sling
