Hello,
Swelling, burning and redness of the hand associated with blisters is commonly due to
dyshidrotic eczema. The cause of the symptom is allergy, frequent moist or sweaty hands and feet. Stress and exposure to pollutants, cement, chromium, nickel, etc., can also cause it. You are suggested to wash your hands with warm water. Cold compress and soaking your hands in cold water will help to reduce itching and discomfort. Do not keep the affected area dry but apply skin creams (thin layer of Soframycin ointment) or a water based moisturizer.
Keep your hands at rest for a couple of days. You can take oral antihistamines at bed time. Apply a thin layer of
hydrocortisone ointment on the affected area at bed time for relieve. You can get it clinically examined by a
dermatologist. For faster relieve your dermatologist may give you a course of
corticosteroids orally or
phototherapy at the clinic. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
