What Causes Swollen And Bleeding Gums?

Hi my daughter tested positive for strep and her gums are very swollen and bleeding a small small amount. Just between her teeth. She will not eat and because it hurts. She was giving a shot of penicillin and an antibiotic of amoxicillin . Don't know what else to do and my daughter is 2 years old

Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Infection of the gum to be treated with antibiotic and she is getting ( should be in proper doses by weight of the child).
Antiseptic gargles like betadine gargle will help a lot in destroying the bacteria.
