What Causes Swollen And Tender Neck After An Injury?

Fell off a ladder last week. Landed clean on my head, upper neck and top of my back on the right of center. Had er due ct scan but showed no slow bleed. I due now realize my neck on the right side is swollen and little tender. The location is below my last molar mid-way down my neck. Could this fall and bump have jostled my lymph node?

Hello

I have studied your case

It may not be due to lymph node swelling ,but probably due to soft tissue injury in neck due to fall.
You may need MRI if symptoms persists and swelling does not reduce.

So I will advise you to consult a specialist and do further investigation.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
