What Causes Swollen Glands And Pink Stuff Sticking On Back Of Tongue?

My throat was once hurting so when I looked in the mirror and stuck my tongue out I saw a pinky thing sticking up on the back of my tongue . I have to stick my tongue out to see it . Also my glands seem to be a little bit swollen to . My throat Is also hurting . When I googled it I saw loads of answers to it being epiglottiss . I was wondering if this is try and what has caused it to show ?

It looks like you may be having epiglotitis!
This is a bit serious condition and i wold like you yo meet your ENT doctor as soon as possible.
Please avoid hot and spicy food and also try to drink lots of fluids.
