What Causes Swollen Glands And Puffy Cheeks In Kids?

My 7 year old son has severe swollen glands going on for over a month and now his cheeks are appearing puffy. CBC normal and tests negative for strep/mono. Pediatrician believes it to be Adno virus. His pediatrician has ordered EBV and chest x-ray. What are they lookong for in x-ray?

hi..from your history,what your son is suffering from is cervical lymphadenopathy....lymphadenopathy could be due to many causes ...what I feel is the need of chest X-ray here is to rule out primary focus of tuberculosis in the lungs and Ebstein Barr virus infection could also present with cervical lymphadenopathy
