What Causes Swollen Glands In Neck And Shoulder Along With Rash And Cough?
hi Dr. Grief, I have swollen glands in my neck and in my shoulder blades.i also have a rash under my neck and now my upper back is breaking out. I also feel tired and have started a cough as well.My glands have been swollen for months but the other systems have started in last couple of weeks.My dr. said it was from me gaining weight.I would like somr answers please.

Hi welcome to HCM....
Your physical examination has to be done for palpating salivary glands , lymph nodes and liver....
Here if gland or lymph node enlarged then FNAC procedure done to reveal nature of swelling whether it is inflammatory , infective or neoplastic....
Management done accordingly....
If liver enlarged and history of jaundice then CBC done for atypical lymphocytes to rule out infectious mononucleosis....
Cough and muscle ache could be from viral infection.
Symptomatic management done ...
If deep bony pain felt then x ray local part done and calcium level checked....
Consult physician with keeping this in mind ...
