Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swollen Glands In Throat, Occasional Sinus And Jaw Pain?
I have visible broken capillaries in the back of my throat and soft palette. I had a tonsillectomy six months ago after a year of chronic tonsillitis which we believed to be causing the irritation. It has not gone away since the tonsils and adenoids have been removed. I also have swollen glands and occasional sinus pain and jaw pain that causes headaches. Now I have a clear bubble on my soft palette that is irritating the back of my throat. My main concern are the prominent capillaries that have not gotten better and the swelling and tenderness in my throat glands. Could these symptoms all be caused by a singular issue?
That irritation and pain at back of throat is due to some infection and inflammation that still there. You need to Gargle with Betadine solution 3-4 times in a day. You can take painkiller like Diclofenac Sodium. Don't drink cold water or any colddrink.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
